The Fraxel laser is the first technology that can produce dramatic improvements to aging and sun-damaged skin in a speedy healing process, with almost no downtime. Patients usually have anywhere from 3-5 treatments spaced about 2-3 weeks apart. The Fraxel Laser Treatment significantly improves unwanted skin pigmentation, dark spots and blemishes, skin texture, fine lines, as well as deep lines, and even creates skin tightening and improvement of scars.

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a type of treatment that rejuvenates aging skin by creating a controlled burn of the skin. As the skin heals it becomes more youthful in appearance and structure as new collagen - the protein of the skin – is produced.

The two most common chemicals used to achieve significant results are phenol and TCA (trichloroacetic acid).

A phenol peel is a very aggressive peel with a prolonged recovery time (about 4 weeks), but creates amazing transformations of the skin. The downside of the phenol peel is bleaching of the skin, but the ability to obliterate wrinkles is unparalleled.

A TCA peel is a less aggressive peel with much less recovery time depending on the depth of the treatment. The results can be tailored to meet individual needs from subtle to dramatic.

Botox in Sarasota

Botox is a purified botulinum toxin that acts to temporarily paralyze muscles to decrease wrinkles. The best results are seen in the crow’s feet area of the eyes, the central forehead and the glabella (the scowl lines between the eyebrows). The Botox is administered through a very small needle. The effects of the Botox tend to last about 3 months. The procedure takes about 5 minutes in Dr. Adamson’s office with no downtime.

Fillers

Restylane, Juvederm, Radiance, and Radiesse are injectable materials that can be used to fill lines and wrinkles of the face as well as augmenting the lips, cheeks and lower eyelids. Restylane and Juvederm tend to last about 6 months, while Radiance lasts 9-12 months. Dr. Adamson performs this procedure in the office with topical or local anesthesia.
